Add A Movement to Your Day

In January 2025, I started a series on my YouTube channel (@wellandrea) that I called Add a Movement to Your Day.

The premise is simple: choose one movement and do it as many times as you can throughout the day.

The movement possibilities are endless: jumping jacks, squats, pushups, skipping, walking backwards, planks, wall sits, downward dog, cat pose, various stretches…

I came up with the idea when I wanted to make my movement breaks more focused and fun.

I try to have a movement break every 30 to 60 minutes, and the first few movement breaks are usually for my mobility practice, one joint at a time.

But the rest of the movement breaks were sometimes not as focused. I like the idea of focusing on one movement for the day, it keeps it easy, efficient and focused.

Why don’t you add one movement to each day and do it throughout the day and see what happens!
