5 Movements to Sprinkle Throughout Your Day

Here are movements to do throughout the day today. Ideally, you do one movement for at least 1 minute every 30 to 60 minutes.

1. Calf raises.

You can do these anywhere. Hold onto a wall or counter if you need support. Try holding them at the top for a few seconds or do them on one foot to make them more challenging.

2. Standing torso twists.

Stand tall and gently twist side to side. Let your arms stay relaxed. 

3. Marching in place.

Lift one knee at a time. You can go slow and controlled or faster to raise your heart rate. Use a chair or wall for balance if needed.

4. Wall sits.

Slide your back down a wall and hold. Try to qget your thighs parallel with the ground. 

5. Cat–cow.

You can do this on the floor or standing with hands on thighs. Move slowly between flexing and extending your spine and breathe.
