Movement is a Privilege
My husband and I are on spring break this week, which is really just a time to get ready for the next quarter.
However, for the past 10 years or so, we have made “special” movement a big part of it — an extra challenging hike, a hard-to-get-to beach walk, extra long gym workouts at times we usually don’t get to go, etc.
This year he is joining me in reformer Pilates classes. It has been wonderful seeing him explore new-to-him movements. At the same time I am enjoying the foundational movements and appreciate their value.
At the end of every class I say: “Imagine how our bodies will feel in 20 years if we don’t do this!”
Movement is a privilege that makes you feel better today and in the future. Make good use of it!
